The mere mention of the word Edtech conjures up gloomy images of children immersed in tablets, laptops. Though there’s an element of truth in it yet Edtech goes way beyond this picture. Edtech, in fact, is an excellent transactional tool in the hands of a creative teacher. During an interaction with TheTechPod – “Harvesting the excellence & training the teachers is a requisite now,” says Dheeraj Mehrotra.
EdTech is most commonly associated with online education. But in reality, this concept is much broader. It unites all ways of using technology in the educational process. From interactive blackboards to Virtual Reality simulators for modeling surgical operations. The Edtech industry presents a plethora of technology tools that facilitate learning for kids as well as adults including assessment tools for teachers, education-specific sites, reader-adaptive ebooks and more.
