iRam is a product development and technology company with most advanced solutions based on Internet of Things (IoT). The products and solutions from iRam are specially designed to make urban living more convenient, aligned with the government’s Smart City initiative. iRam’s solutions are home grown, developed in our manufacturing facility in Bangalore.
How can IoT be used to build cities?
In fact, IoT would be the key to build smarter cities. Cities generate a huge amount of data. Timely extraction and efficient usage of this field data will originate as a key function of any technology enabled smart cities. Cities will be making use of this data to manage traffic, monitor pollution, make better use of infrastructure and keep citizens safe and clean.
IoT Technologies inherent strength to extract field data through a Smart Sensor Wireless Networks and communicating it to remote servers in real-time makes it next best technology for smart cities. Furthermore, how local administration will process and utilize this accurate field data for actionable intelligence will increase its adoption.
The truth is, IoT is being deployed for lot of varied applications. The IoT market in India is set to touch USD 15 billion by 2020, accounting for nearly 5% of the entire global output. In fact, IoT adoption in Indian smart cities and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) is already making a niche space in the Indian business sector. We hope to see more output after the ‘Make in India’ campaign that empowers manufacturers all over the country

iRam provides Smart Parking Solutions for on-street, off-street and covered parking spaces. Using Internet of Things, the Smart Parking System efficiently optimizes the usage of the available parking space, enhancing the functioning of streets in the city by providing city vide bay occupancy data through IoT enabled smart sensor wireless networks (SSWN) to central servers and citizen apps. The system also ensures appropriate parking fees, avoiding payment pilferages through digital payments that is aligned to the government’s vision of cashless payments. Using a mobile application, it allows users a great convenience to find available parking spaces, reserve and pay online.
